Jim Azzarelli started Precision Paving of
Tampa, Inc. in November 1983. Precision
Paving became Azzarelli Paving and Site
Development in January 2003. Jim had worked
for Delta Asphalt from 1978 to 1983. His
father's business, Azzarelli Construction in
Illinois was established in 1946, just after
WWII.
"Growing up in a construction family, I
really got the bug for the business," Jim
says. He worked various areas of the
business until he finally settled on asphalt
paving as his favorite area of the industry.
"Working for Delta Asphalt, I got a well
rounded education in the asphalt business
and in mid 1983, I decided to go for it on
my own." Jim says. Now the company has
incorporated mid to large scale site
projects, such as; office parks, industrial
warehouses sites, subdivisions, schools and
as assortment of service-convenient stores
and fast food establishments.
As a graduate from the University of Florida
in 2007, Jim’s son Jay Azzarelli has come on
board to represent the next generation in
Azzarelli Paving and Site Development.
Asphalt paving is still a mainstay in the
company and compliments the commercial site
work making it easier to complete projects
on time. The paving crew does projects for
various site contractors and resurfacing of
older parking lots is a big part of the
business.
We also offer seal coating and striping
services.
Being in the business over 20 years shows we
stand behind our work and do our best to get
jobs completed quickly and efficiently.
